Skoda Design is looking for a Computational Designer & Visualization Specialist to join our NYC studio. We seek a highly creative and technically skilled individual passionate about crafting compelling visual narratives and integrating AI-driven design solutions into our workflow.

The ideal candidate will:
 Create impactful, photorealistic imagery that elevates design concepts.
 Mentor and inspire designers in the production of visuals and emerging visualization techniques.
 Develop and refine computational design tools to optimize workflows and enhance creative exploration.
 Leverage AI and parametric design methodologies to push the boundaries of architectural visualization.
 Manage multiple projects efficiently while ensuring consistency and excellence in visual output.
 Stay curious and innovate—exploring new visualization techniques, AI applications, and digital storytelling.

Key Skills & Expertise:

  • Advanced Visualization & Rendering: Expertise in creating photorealistic imagery, animations, and compelling visual narratives.
  • Computational & Parametric Design: Proficiency in Grasshopper, Rhino, Houdini, and other parametric modeling tools.
  • AI & Machine Learning in Design: Experience with AI-driven tools for visualization, generative design, and automation. Experimentation with Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Maya, Mastery of V-Ray, Enscape, Unreal Engine, Blender, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects).
  • Scripting & Automation: Strong knowledge of Python, C#, or other programming languages for workflow optimization.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Ability to guide and inspire designers in visualization techniques and computational workflows.
  • Project Coordination: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain visual consistency.
  • Curiosity & Innovation: Passion for emerging technologies, digital storytelling, and pushing the boundaries of visualization.

This role begins with a three-month trial period as an remote Independent Contractor, with the potential for a permanent employment opportunity thereafter if we are a good fit to continue to work together.
