Unconditional Job Requirements:

  • Yup! You’ve got to have one…a Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree required, from an accredited college is preferred.
  • Architectural License or at least currently working toward licensure preferred.
  • As the Title says – we’re looking for someone with 2-5 years of experience as a designer for small to large scale, Commercial, Municipal, K-12, architectural projects.
  • Since 85% of our work is for NJ Schools, K-12, Educational experience is PREFERRED.
  • You’ve got to be able to juggle! And juggle well! Your ability to effectively maintain records and files and develop multiple projects simultaneously will be instrumental in our success.
  • We’re looking for ‘Virtuosos’ – those with strong design skills, who are technically proficient and possess an excellent understanding of design and construction.
  • At this level, we’re looking for a number one draft pick who has some experience in different areas of architecture, from pre-design through construction administration as well as an ability to develop the overall design/massing of the project and prepare production drawings in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Since we’re only as strong as our weakest link, you must be a team player, self-starter and highly motivated as your hard work will translate into company profitability which in turn will fill your pockets with raises and strong bonuses.
  • We work hard here! We play hard too! Flex hours are important, but those inclined to punch a clock from 9 to 5 need not apply.
  • Since it is 2024 – Technology Proficiency is a must! We applaud your ability to Tweet! and post to Instagram but we’re talking about the backbone of our business. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite and Adobe programs are essential for everyday tasks.
  • Proficiency with REVIT is a MUST – Solutions Architecture has been 100% REVIT since 2009 and our Team must be proficient with current versions of Revit Architecture.
  • Knowledge of or proficiency with CORE software is preferred; it will be something that you must learn since it is the backbone of our project management system.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills for team/client interactions; ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • High level of computer literacy and high-level proficiency with Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); and Adobe Acrobat and Creative Suite Programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Since we’re a smaller firm, we all carry the torch and get our hands dirty. At the Junior Level position, we’re looking for a utility player, who is not afraid of learning. You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting surveys of sites and buildings, both interior and exterior.
  • Learning to generate 3-D Building Scans
  • Generating presentation drawings/images/sketches for the client to approve design concepts and material selections.
  • Prepare meeting minutes at all attended meetings.
  • Assisting with the completion of contract drawings for each project. (additional support will depend on job size).
  • Drawings shall be completed using Revit Architecture and should follow the determined standards.
  • Assisting the Spec Writer with the preparation of technical specifications for each project with Project Manager.
  • Coordinating with Consultants and in-house production with Project Manager, including:
  • Review consultant drawings for accuracy and coordination.
  • Developing “cartoon sets” for review by Project Manager.
  • Review drawings with Project Manager for coordination between all trades.
  • Assisting with construction administration during the construction of the project:
  • Assist with RFI’s, review shop drawings, etc.
  • Attend project meetings with the project manager.
  • Assist with field reports.
